Andrea and Everitt: The Style Seekers
With very specific tastes and needs, this happy couple made sure the gifts they registered for were as beautiful as they were practical.

Behind the Wish List
30-year-old Andrea Montano and Everitt Speros, 32, said their vows in Connecticut last December in a small wedding befitting their minimalist, romantic style. When they registered, everything on their list had to pass two requirements: Each item had to be practical enough to use regularly, and it also had to mix and match with the carefully chosen bowls and plates already in the couple’s cupboards. Most important? They wanted a light and delicate style that still reflected their fun-loving personalities. When it came to flatware, Everitt hesitated to go modern (the style of many of their other items) — and at the last minute Andrea’s grandmother intervened with a solution. She told the couple that she wanted to pass down her antique Reed & Barton flatware to them as a wedding gift. Otherwise, Andrea says: “I would have wanted Vera Wang, so my grandmother saved the day.”
Favourite Registry Item: Simon Pearce glasses
“I chose these glasses because they’re so durable and I love their shape. I use them for everyday glasses but they also double as barware,” Andrea says.
Take Our Advice:
To match new registry items to the plates, dishes, and utensils you already have and love, take pictures and bring them with you. Focus in on any intricate patterns, details, or colours you’re looking to match. If you’re matching existing linens, take along a napkin or pillowcase for easy colour coordination
