THE ARIES BRIDE
(Mar 21-Apr 21)
The Aries bride throws herself into the race to find the perfect wedding venue and makes sure she books it months before her rivals – using clever, fox-like cunning. She’ll be early for the ceremony too. (She may have to be driven slowly around the block to kill time!) She works out hard in the gym before the event and has a stunning set of Michelle Obama biceps to show off on the day. Her man is always a catch – but if any of his exes are on the guest-list she’ll have to restrain herself. She throws herself into her wedding as a rule.

TAURUS
(Apr 22-May 21)
The Taurus bride has a cost spreadsheet at the back of her mind, the whole time she’s planning the wedding so it will either be the most luxe event of the year, or the thriftiest – not that the guests will realise. Taurus rules the neck so the neckline of her dress will be detailed, or she’ll wear a very special necklace on the day. Choose her gift very carefully, no matter if she uses a registry or not. It will never be forgotten! Within months of the wedding, she’ll makes her first big property decision. Wealth is waiting.

GEMINI
(May 22-Jun 22)
Facebook, Twitter and texting will be a big part of the Gemini ceremony – before, during and after the wedding. This bride spends a long time researching the wording of her vows too. She’ll have media contacts to take the photos, capture the DVD or write the event up in the social pages. Expect a witty, thoughtfully put-together reception. She’ll enjoy creating the invitations and the programme in her own inimitable style and she’ll develop such a close relationship with the printer that her fiancée may start to have suspicions.

CANCER
(Jun 23-Jul 23)
A Cancerian wedding is always a family affair, but with so many forgotten branches on the tree (and new in-laws) the ceremony can sometimes be all about her relatives, rather than about her. Still, Cancer has brilliant bridesmaids to help; much-loved sisters, nieces or female friends who feel like sisters to her. The menu will be a big deal. Cancer is happy to leave the invitations and DVD to others, but she’ll take a great interest in the food! There will be strong reminders about the bride’s nationality or her family’s on the day.

LEO
(Jul 24-Aug 23)
Leo’s memories of royal weddings on TV (come on down Princess Mary) or glamorous celebrity weddings in Hollywood, influence her choices. This is the sign associated with Queens and Kings. It’s also the sign to associate with children and teenagers, so her young relatives and godchildren will be a big part of the day. Leo makes a dignified bride, but she can be a diva if anyone treads on her toes. She’ll be in secret agonies about inviting her less-classy friends and family, but in the end, her generous heart will win the day for her.

VIRGO
(Aug 24-Sep 23)
Virgo women do better with their wedding plans if they can create a new routine to replace the old one. Otherwise it’s too easy for them to feel rocked by the changes to their usual (highly efficient) schedule. This is one wedding that might actually seem perfect, though – the attention to detail will be amazing, from the mascara she chooses, to the ribbon on the bridesmaid gifts. Virgo brides who aren’t already super-fit and healthy will pull out all the stops to get in shape for the big day but most possess the bodies of models!

LIBRA
(Sep 24-Oct 23)
Librans are so happy to have found a life partner that the wedding and honeymoon are just add-ons. The radiant bride with the big smile is usually a Libran, who truly believes in everlasting love. She has the best chance of any sign, of making marriage work. You’ll see why when you realise how much she includes her partner in the decision-making. The dress will remain a secret (just) but she’ll consult him about everything else. The financials will be scrupulously fair too. She’ll soothe over any tensions on the day like a total pro.

SCORPIO
(Oct 24-Nov 22
The Scorpio bride likes to keep the full details of her wedding secret. Even her partner won’t know what is going on, and that’s fine by her. She likes to be in control at work, and also in her personal life, so she’ll try to micro-manage the ceremony too. This might work, but Scorpio will enjoy herself more if she lets go of the process and concentrates on the honeymoon instead. That part of the deal certainly appeals to her! She’s passionate. Her partner is a lucky guy.

SAGITTARIUS
(Nov 23-Dec 21)
Sagittarian women only marry men who will either travel with them, or be prepared to move house (or even state and country) with them. Even though the wedding is important, her mind will be far away, on a future move, or an epic honeymoon journey. She’ll typically have foreign guests, or a multicultural element to her ceremony. If possible, she’ll move the reception and wedding to a location far from home too. Her vows will be handpicked and the result of serious thought. She’s unlikely to take a regular church wedding.

This bride respects tradition and the past so she’ll choose a wedding and reception location that has a strong meaning for her, or her partner, in their shared life story. She will also be drawn to historic buildings or classic locations with a rich past. Capricorn women do not commit lightly to marriage and it may be a serious ceremony, but a fun reception. She will marry well – Capricorn attracts successful or well-known men. She’ll choose a timeless dress as she prefers timeless photographs. Nothing too hipster or temporary!

AQUARIUS
(Jan 21-Feb 19)
The Aquarian bride finds it hard to draw the line with her wedding invitations and may have to divide the day into ceremony and reception, as she has so many Facebook friends. It matters to her very much that her friends like her new husband. Her Hens’ Night will be just as central as the wedding and she’ll love the all-female atmosphere with her chosen tribe. Aquarians prefer unusual gifts, financial donations to good causes or other offbeat gestures. Even if she does have a registry, her preferences will be utterly unique!

PISCES
(Feb 20-Mar 20)
The Pisces bride isn’t interested in ‘sensible’ weddings on a budget, or the same ceremony as everyone else. This isn’t just her big day, it’s her big escape from the real world. Her famous imagination will inspire the most amazing flowers, cake and invitation – and that’s just the start. She’ll opt for a beach wedding, a river or sea location – or at the very least, a honeymoon near the ocean. Her bridesmaids or parents will look after the practical details, leaving her free to live the dream. And it really will be a dream day.
