Ashley & Peter: A Grand Romantic Wedding in Horsley Park, NSW
![]()
Ashley and Peter had a five-year long friendship (and were both in other relationships) before they started seeing each other. “I would have to walk past him playing football every Monday night on my way to the gym,” says Ashley.
The bride: Ashley Crawford, 24, service administrator
The groom: Peter Mittiga, 27, concreter
The date: 19 February
Peter took Ashley to her favourite restaurant, Hurricanes, and told her he wanted to propose on Christmas day. After a delicious meal the pair drove to Observatory Hill, where Ashley had always wanted to go. With a stunning view in front of them Peter pulled out a beautiful 1.56ct emerald cut diamond with brilliant cut diamonds on a white gold band. “I was in shock because I really didn’t think he was going to propose, but that’s Peter, a big joker!” Ashley said yes and they headed to the Opera Bar for a celebratory drink. When they got there Ashley was shocked to see that Peter had organised all their family and friends to be.
