The couple first dated in high school, although while Helene knew she’d found the love of her life, Simon was not so sure. They parted ways until they met again in 2007. They were living miles apart at the time but decided to give their relationship another chance. Simon moved in with Helene after one year and the following year he asked for her hand in marriage.
