Where Should We Seat the Suppliers at the Reception?
Question: Should we seat suppliers such as the photographers and musicians in the same room with guests? We have to provide meals for them, but the problem is our venue is not big enough to have an extra table for eight suppliers.

While it is always wise to carefully consider your suppliers’ requests ultimately this is your event. If there is no room for a suppliers table at your venue don’t stress, simply seat them in the other room and schedule times on your running order for each person to dine when is most appropriate – for example it’s not likely that you will want video footage either your hubby or yourself chomping on your food, so the videographer can eat at the same time as the bridal table is served. Of course is important to allow everyone to have a break and eat a meal (or two if they started working for you in the AM) but at the end of the day they are there to do a job, not join the party or run the show.

I will eat my hat for dinner the night that I see a photographer/videographer served at the same time as the bridal party. It’s a logical solution in theory, but it simply doesn’t happen. Vendors are typically served after everyone else, and forced to scoff down their meals when, moments after the plate hits the table, the MC arrives to advise “we’re going to have speeches now…”
As for seating – being in another room is totally fine.
