Question: I want do something different: I want to ask my boyfriend to marry me. But I'm having trouble finding an engagement ring for him. Where should I look?

What a great idea! You can get your boyfriend any kind of ring — it doesn’t have to be a diamond solitaire. It can be a simple gold, platinum, or silver band, for example, or something embedded with, say, both of your birthstones. Be sure to get a special message engraved on the inside, too.
Speciality jewellery stores are probably the best places to look. You won’t find all that many men’s rings in chain or department stores, but look in small, arty shops — especially the kind that sell the work of local artists — for unique men’s rings.
