Spotted! Keira Knightley was photographed on the red carpet for the SeriousFun charity event in London wearing her wedding dress and now we’re even more obsessed with her than before. Keira originally wore the white tulle Chanel dress for the first time at a BAFTA Awards party in 2008 and awesomely broke tradition by wearing it again for her wedding to James Righton in May.
The best part is that Keira accessorised the dress slightly differently for each occasion. Keira looks stunning in this dress, and it’s versatile enough that it never looks exactly the same twice so it makes total sense that she would wear it again. See the photos of Keira and let us know whether you’d rewear your dress again by taking our poll!
For the most recent look, Keira added long mesh sleeves and a beaded illusion neckline. She kept the look minimal and wore strappy gold heels.
Keira went light and white for her wedding day with a short cropped boucle Chanel jacket, blush flats and a dainty flower crown.
At the BAFTA awards, Keira wore black tights and flats for a more winter appropriate look along with a black jacket.
What do you do when your girlfriend finds out about the amazing surprise proposal you’ve been planning? Jordan Halland used it as an opportunity to make an even more elaborate proposal by planning a series of fake-out proposals before surprising her with the real deal.
The best part is Jordan filmed the whole thing including Summer’s hilarious reactions to the faux-posals. If you can’t stand the suspense skip ahead to the five minute mark to see Jordan finally propose to Summer.
It was the start of a fairytale empire when Victoria Adams, better known then as Posh Spice, said ‘I do’ to David Beckham in an Irish castle on a summer’s day in 1999. Vic certainly walked down the aisle in princess style wearing a Vera Wang gown estimated to have cost over $100,000, but what really made her the queen of the castle was her royal looking tiara. The famous tiara is now up for auction and is expecting to fetch over $30,000.

It was just about as close to a royal wedding as you can get! But with Spice Girls!
Are you thinking of wearing a tiara on your wedding day?
Every bride dreams of looking her most beautiful as she walks down the aisle. But it can get crazy expensive trying to figure out exactly how you are going to achieve that dreamy radiant glow. Here are a few handy hints on how to look great without breaking your budget on your big day.

1) Get smart
Educate yourself on skincare and makeup so you can avoid making any costly mistakes and reduce the amount of time you need to spend on professional services. Look for beauty workshops or in-store classes, demos and services where the cost is redeemable on beauty products. Think brow-shaping services and makeup and skincare tutorials.
Oh and heads up Sydney Knotties – there’s a La Prairie bridal skincare workshop happening in Sydney on December 14th, and I highly recommend you scoot on over to this if you can. Skincare genius Belinda Besant will be sharing her best skincare secrets, plus you’ll score a beautiful gift valued at over $300, so jump to it!
2) Freebies are your friend
Next time you’re cruising around your local department store, play with testers and get a feel for what makeup, skincare and fragrance you like. Keep your eyes peeled for free skincare and fragrance samples – it’s great to road test products before you invest in the full-sized version.
When you purchase your wedding day fragrance, check with the sales assistant if they have any little sample versions available that you can have as well. You can carry it in your clutch on the big day to freshen up your fragrance as the night wears on.
3) Treat yourself
Instead of schlepping to the salon on the regular, save your hard-earned simoleons by treating yourself to weekly DIY facials. Pencil in 40 minutes of serious bathroom time into your weekly schedule. Start with a double cleanse, then tone and exfoliate before applying a hydrating face mask followed by an active serum. Once the serum has absorbed, finish with a moisturiser suited to your skin type.
You should definitely still head to the salon every couple of months for a heavy duty facial, as they’ll have access to professional-strength products and equipment that will intensify your results, but if you’re maintaining a fantastic skincare regime at home, you won’t have to fork out moolah for salon visits quite as often.
4) Friends with benefits
Have a hair or makeup-savvy friend or relative? Ask them if they’d be willing to do your hair and/or makeup for the wedding to help you save on costs. You can offer to pay them, but chances are they’ll be happy to do it for you as a wedding present. Be sure to have a hair and makeup trial a few months out from the wedding to make sure you’re happy with the look.
5) De-stress on the cheap
Is the stress of wedding planning leaving your shoulders full of knots? Look for a reputable student massage clinic where students are highly trained and supervised. A student clinic often costs about a third of a regular remedial massage. If you’re a Sydney or Brisbane-based Knottie I highly recommend The Wellbeing Clinic.
6) A low-maintenance mani
Get a gel mani and pedi two days before the wedding – it costs about the same as a regular mani and pedi, but it will last about two to three weeks, so it will save you having to fork out for another polish before you jet off on your honeymoon. If you’re a Sydney-based Knottie I recommend Nail Boutique Le M in the Dymocks Building on George Street – they do the best CND Shellac manicure in town.
How are you planning to save some money and still look your best?

Taylor Swift dazzled last night at the Winter Whites Gala in London where she met Prince William and sang alongside Bon Jovi. Her ethereal crystal gown and retro hairstyle matched the evening’s elegant winter wonderland theme at Kensington Palace. We couldn’t help but notice that her flawless look from the chic updo, pearl clutch and bold red lip look is very bridal! T. Swift wore a dress by designer Reem Acra, which is very similar to wedding gowns the designer showed at this year’s bridal fashion week. How do two die-hard Breaking Bad fans cope with the end of their favourite show? By immortalising it in their wedding album with a themed engagement shoot of course! It’s becoming a thing for couple’s to get into character for fun engagement photos, which are typically less formal than the wedding day shots. Even though themed shoots are on trend, fake guns and drug props like this couple used are definitely on the unexpected side of engagement photo role playing props! Photographer Ashley Eubanks helped her friend, bride-to-be Hannah Schuster and her fiance pull it off, complete with hazmat suits and a look-alike of the show’s iconic RV lab while the couple posed as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. Take a look at this themed engagement shoot then let us know what you think below!

Knotties, do you think engagement shoots are a good idea? Are you having one?
Talk about taking geeked out weddings to a whole new level, PoshDJs made a couple’s wedding cake into a live action video game using a projector. When the lights go off, this white five-tiered square cake becomes the palette for amazing 3D projection of classic video games like Donkey Kong, Dig Dug and Sonic the Hedgehog. Seriously, you have to watch the video of this amazing cake (accompanied by an Avicii and Super Mario theme song mash-up) whether or not your a video game fan, your mind will be blown.
Would you ever consider something totally unexpected like this for your wedding cake?
