Ceremony & reception details

Hi Ladies,

My FH and I live in Brisbane but our wedding will be held up in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Should I be sourcing our suppliers in Brisbane or up on the Sunny Coast?? Is it best to have your suppliers in the same area as your wedding? Would love to hear your opinions and or experiences.

My FH sister got married at Mt Tamborine earlier this year and sourced all her suppliers (flowers, cake, DJ) in that area it meant she had to drive there a few times for appointments but it also saved her expensive delivery fees.

I got married in Maleny last week and recommend going with local suppliers.  Some of the best that I dealt with were Twig and Grace in Cooroy for flowers, just perfect and so competitively priced!!  Celeste Frances-Scott is an amazing celebrant and so different from any celebrant we met with.  The Little White Wedding Church, Trevor Burns, everything was perfect – could not fault him.  Kim Bartlett for makeup, she is lovely and did a fabulous job catering to everyones needs (all 7 of us!)The girls and I got ready at Spciers Clovelly Estate in Montville and everyone there was lovely, nothing was too much trouble – and the Estate is gorgeous, perfect for photos.
