I am getting married at 11:00am. My 3 BMs are my sisters. We’re all staying at my parents the night before and are getting ready there too. Our makeup and hair stylists are coming to us.

How long do you think it will take us to get ready? When do I need to get up? I am sure I will be awake early due to excitement but I am starting to wonder if we’ll need to get up at 5am to be showered, styled and made up in time! I am just having my hair down in it’s natural curls and natural makeup…..it won’t take too long will it???

congrats EJs on your big day!

When looking at your time line, work backwards from arriving at the ceremony. How long will it take to get to the ceremony? How long will the photographer be taking “getting ready” photos before you leave? H

Also who is doing the hair and makeup – yourselves or a stylist? Makeup per person i’d probably allocate about 45 minutes. With natural curls, is your hair going to be in rollers for a while? Can you do the make up while your hair is setting?

Be sure to allocate some “extra time” in between things. Traffic is unexpected, and there are always more cameras than you’ve ever seen in your life that want to take photos of you.

Enjoy!

i would speak to your hair and makeup people and find out how long they will need….but i would say you are in for a very early wake up….

Definitely have a chat to your makeup artist and hairstylist. Also talk with your photographer because they will have a specific timeframe if they are taking photos before the ceremony. I got married at 2pm and I started getting ready at 8:30am, so I’d say you are in for an early start :)

EJS I’m in the same Boat… however I get up pretty early most mornings anyway.

My Make up artist will be showing up at 7am on the day.  We need to leave by 10:00am to get to the venue… (traffic is notorious in the part of town we’re getting married)

I haven’t booked the hairdresser yet, but I’d reccomend getting up at 5am or earlier…

Thanks for your help so far.

We’re doing our hair ourselves which will take about 15 minutes each. We will have 2 double vanity bathrooms available to us which means we can have all four of us getting ready at once.

My future mother in law is doing our makeup and has booked herself in for her hair to be done somewhere at 8:00, that means she won’t get to us until 9:00am! It will be a quick job but I think we can get it done. I only want very light makeup for each of us coz none of us normally wear it. we are having lots of trials coming up so she can learn exactly how we want it so that she can just get in and get it done.

We’ll be tight with time but it should be possible. My makeup gets done first so i have the time to get into the dress and get the important photos done while the girls are finishing getting ready.
