Hi, I’m looking at how I can theme my wedding, personally I don’t want anything that detracts from the actual nuptuals, just something that will subtly tie everything together, from the invites through to the farewells!
My h2b thinks the theme should be a ‘wedding’ theme… silly boy knows nothing!! LOL!!
I have a colour theme in mind of gold / chocolate / caramel – with warm reds and burnt oranges, and am now thinking of a few ideas for other ways to tie it together… here’s what I have, I’d love to know what theme you are thinking of??
We’re having an autumn wedding and my initial thoughts:
- Music insprired theme “if music be the food of love, play on”
- Pears theme “the perfect pear” – maybe a bit kitch, but I quite like it!
- Travel theme, old world maps, trasport modes etc…
Love to know what ideas you have?

I love the ‘Perfect Pear’ idea! And I think that could fit with the colour theme you have; just add pale green as a contrast. You could use pears as centrepieces, which would look great and be really cheap. And if you don’t intend on keeping a piece of your cake, a pear cake could be really nice too!
