If anyone knows of any great places to stay or things to do I’d love to hear about it =)
So far we are thinking about Phuket, with a day trip to the Phi Phi Islands while we are there and staying at Thara Patong Beach & Spa Resort.

Check out trip advisor.com. it will have ideas on trips/things to do and also reviews of everything.
Things I reccommend are:
Hiring a moped and touring around (you will need an international drivers licence available from RACV/RACQ etc)
Visiting some of the Wats
Try Captain Mark’s sailing tours…he is an aussie and has some great cruises. The one to the Hongs is great.

Koh Samui and Phi Phi are my favourites. On that note, I am actually going to live in South East Asia for six months, leaving in August, and Thailand is where I’m spending most of my time.
Ahh j_jaye, she is such a darling with her tips! – travel advisory websites are definatly a way to go.
Things I would recommend (all are depending upon your age or level of adventure):
- Get your divers licence. So much fun and a great reminder of your trip, as well as gaining a great skill.
- Full Moon Party – This is dependant upon your definition of fun/ a night out.
- General Sailing Tours – As j_jaye said, there are a pheonomenal way to see the beauty of Thai waters.
