Our venue (Gunners Barracks, Georges Heights NSW) has great speakers in each room of the place so we have decided to do our own music as it has iPod capability. On the night we then nominate one person who the venue allow to access the iPod. I want to dance the night away and this way we can pick all of our own music while savng money.
Saving $$$ in a few different areas such as this has meant we can do fun things like have a photobooth at the reception.

JulieL – we’re getting a photobooth too! Shopped around a little and found a great buisness who supplies a superhuge booth, complete with attendant for the night and a beautiful photo album which people can put copies of the photos in and decorate and write little notes next to!
We’re not really dancers, so we’re making an ipod playlist of music for everyone. We’re also doing a slideshow of photos of our life together so far…

i’m planning on creating a cross-word made up of questions about the bride and groom to put on each table. hopefully this will make guests talk to eachother and meet new people in order to find out the answers.
bride and groom are also going to play a couple of games which will act as entertainment, one of which invloves blind-folding the bride (me), and placing a small peg somewhere on the groom’s body, which has to be found by touch
