Restaurant 18eightyseven

Hiya, after seeing many recepetion venues that I was ‘meh’ about, I found one in Bendigo at the TAFE – the training restaurant which has recently been renamed restaurant 18eightyseven. I love it, and I forgot but my fiance Mr Violet did hospitality at BRIT and knows this venue well. Today I was all excited saying we should go and look, and he declined, reminded me of his course he did at TAFE and said he didn’t need to look at it again, LOLs.
So does anyone know this venue from the customer point of view? We are going there sometime this week to try the food out, but I think the price per head will be all right and they are licenced so will have a bar for guests. Only problem (or is it a problem) is that they can fit x number of guests in there, and our guest list is about 30 over that. Ooops.
But I love it, it is in the old Bendigo Mechanics Institute on McCrae St and it used to be a library and is an octagon – and 8 is a lucky number so that must be lucky eh?
