Reception Venue just cancelled on us… with less than 3 months to go!

So, we have been busily planning our wedding for the past 10 months – reception venue was the first thing we picked, and have built our day (in fact, our whole wedding week!) around.
We are (were?) getting married on the beach down the Currumbin end of the Gold Coast then inland for our photos and reception… but now I get a phone call today from our venue manager saying they have just been informed they can’t hold receptions past 6pm on a Sunday anymore!
I realise this is pretty much out of her control. BUT! It has put us in a very difficult place of having to find another option and inform all our guests… etc etc… what a major pain!
We are thinking of Cedar Creek Lodge now, in the Tambourine Mountains. Anyone with any advise or ideas – we are open to them!
Especially if you know of a great reception venue at the ‘Currumbin/Coolangatta’ end of the coast…..
