We went with a DJ – they are heaps cheaper and more flexible in terms of the music they can play

I went with a five piece band, Music sets the mood and atmosphere and i was happy to skimp on other things to stick within my budget to have the perfect band, It was easy for me though as my taste in music leans towards the old crooners and most bands can play this type of music

neither, we’re going with a jukebox, $250 and we can make our own playlist, plus comes with microphones for speeches and can add ipods if we wish

DJ – that way the songs you love are sung by the people you love as well! Plus, you can get different styles of music to suit everyone.

i know its not reception music but we used a harpist for during our ceremony, it was perfect. they are amazing and can play anything you want!!!
we had a dj for our reception, it was great having and i think it adds more of a person touch to the night.

We are using both. Band for the ceremony, and DJ for the recpetion. I found an awesome suggestion on a different forum for a band though. Stick a flyer up at the Con (if you are in Sydney) and reent graduates, who are fantastic, may want to do your wedding (very cheaply) as experience. We are giving it a shot
