I want to marry by the sea but my partner is from the country and is keen to wed in his hometown. How do we reach a compromise?

Do you both have a special connection to the sea? If you do that would make the decision easier.
How important is it to you to mary by the sea, why do you want to. If it is just cause it looks pretty or you like the beach you may have to do the giving in this situation.
Does his home town have a lake or river? Its not the sea but it is still water.
If you choose his hometown they you could choose the location in his town, you both get soemthing you want.
You could alway wed in his hometown and honeymoon by the sea.
If it was me homethown trumps sea, that is why most my suggestions go that way, plus i am a country girl.
