(after the engagement party, if your having one)
pick a date, or narrow it down to a month, then see what type of theme you would want, what colours, then go from there, you could get your dress early or wait until the wedding is closer, just have abit of a think about weddings, check out the real weddings on TheKnot and see what you like and just go from there, but dont forget to involve your partner, in as little or as much as he would like

Congratulations on your engagement!
We started by figuring out a rough budget and guest list and then looking at venues for a couple of months. Think also about what time of year you want to get married as well as how long you want to be engaged for. We didn’t want much over 12 months and we wanted a winter wedding. So with all that info we decided on a log-cabin style venue, went for a cocktail function to keep costs down and took our favourite available date.
Getting a place and time should be your first priority since venues often book out over a year in advance. It also means you have something to tell all the people who are asking if you’ve set a date!
Otherwise, get some wedding magazines, check our wedding websites and get some advice from any recently married friends or family.
Good luck!

Hi Neek!
Congratulations on your engagement!
Organising a wedding can be a little overwhelming at times… But hopefully this might help you on your way…
These are the BEST planning templates I have found so far: http://www.russellandhazel.com /ideas_weddingtemplates.htm
I also found these useful because it has more verses/vows, suggestions, & traditions etc… http://www.yourwedding.com.au/images/stories/pl…
I found that once we picked a wedding date the rest eventually fell into place. So much of the planning revolves around that… Hope you have loads of FUN!
Best Wishes, Kobe
