Is this too much to do?

Hi ladies!
I am just wondering if this idea is too much. We’re having our wedding in Melbourne and 85% of guests are from all over Australia. Not many of them have ever been here so I was thinking of giving little giftbags – personalised totes with a map of the Melbourne CBD (where our ceremony and reception are) a bottle of water, little pack of tissues and I was thinking, do you think I should include a list of activities to do, places to visit and also an affordable range of local accommodation….it is on the Queens Birthday long weekend next year.
Do you think this is a bit of a waste, or is it something you would appreciate as a guest?

I should probably mention that although the venue is only a 10 minute drive from the church, I figured a few list of great coffee shops or arcades people could visit to fill in time between church and venue.

Hi WinterKate
Sounds awesome. The best way to go about this would be – use the Melbourne Visitor Centre. I worked in Tourism for 4 years, and being in Broome WA, a lot of people came to us looking for information for the guests of their international wedding. Definitely worth going to the centre at Federation Square – the women I’ve dealt with there are lovely and I’m sure would love to help you – AND can help with accomodation/tour bookings which your guests may need help with (and take the pressure off you and your family!)
