Is it inappropriate to have bagpipes at your wedding if your not Scottish?

definatly not!!! if thats what you want them go for it. it will give you wedding something a little bit different.

I think if you love the bagpipes you should have them!
My Hubby to be has decided that he wants to wear a kilt to our wedding! Hahaha, at first I was horrified but then I thought it is his day too so he should be able to wear what he wants. He does have scottish heritage but it is a fair way back. And my great grandmother was born in scotland so I guess It is in both of our blood

its not inappropriate at all, my sister and BinL had a whole pipe band at there wedding, it was a nice change from a traditional dj. they didnt play the whole reception obviously, but it was a lovely touch, and neither of them are scottish

Definetely not. I run a bagpiping business called Piper For All Occasions that services the Gold Coast and Hinterland area. I have done countless weddings where neither the bride or groom has any Scottish heratige but they just love the bagpipes. They are a fabulous instrument and compared to getting a band they are a cheap option to add that touch of class to your special occasion. I can’t tell you how many people have regreted not having bagpipes at their wedding when they see how great they are at someone elses
