Hi my fiance and I are getting married in Ipswich on April 16th 2011.
So far I’ve had a bit of trouble with the planning…… Mainly because I live in Victoria my fiance is currently away at sea (he’s in the Navy). So at the moment we are trying to find somewhere for a nice reception…. the Cheaper the better….. So far the cheapest I’ve found is 50pp- 70pp…. Was wondering if anyone knew of any little hidden treasures that would be cheaper…..

The chef Fenton Keogh is a nationally renowned chef – was the resident chef on the today show for a few years. Used to have restaurant Fenton’s in town which is great and also previously catered. You could try fenton as caterer and get a marquee in limestone park which would be lovely….
The ipswich international is also a very nice hotel that’s great for wedding. Check it out at http://www.ipswichinternational.com.au
If you want something less traditional the railway workshops museum is very cool…great for photos too (this would be my number one pick if getting married in ipswich). also the Global Arts Link art gallery is really stylish.
And just in case you’re wondering…..yep….i’m originally a local….you won’t find me that admitting that very often though

Hi thanks for the post…
Yes as of the moment we are looking at the international as main option its either that or darling st chapel…
The international has great packages some even include cake, drinks, flowers even invites I was super impressed but for us thats a total of at least 10500 then to add our photographer, dresses, suites and hair its a lot of money!!!
Also I used to live there when I was younger
well in karalee anyway…
So Are you getting married to? If so where and how are your plans going?
