Hi girls,
So, I am starting to think about the whole theme of the wedding and I know I want a black tie themed wedding, very formal, but not black and white as a theme per se
Most research i have been doing re: black tie has almost always come back with black and white themed…
All these options! any ideas would be greatly appreciated xox

I’ve seen a lovely idea with the black and white and a buttercup yellow, was simply gorgeous! But if you are having a winter wedding, silver would also provide a lovely contrast.

excited – thankyou! interesting ideas
mollimel – the buttercup yellow is a really pretty idea, and i think it might go well with the flowers, but silver is great too! thanks for the food for thought x

you could have a black tie theme and just tell the guests to add a splash of colour. You might end up with people wearing a coloured hat, gloves, tie or shoes ect. This would look great as it would all blend i.e the black but be different. You could then carry this through with your wedding theme too. The men could have a coloured coursage or hanky in the pocket, and the girls could have big coloured earings or high heels ect. I think this would look great. All black and white with added splashes of colour. You could follow this through with your decorating with the traditional black and white with coloured flowers or white flowers in colured vases ect.
