does anyone know how much I should be paying for a makeup trial and makeup on the day for just myself? I want to make sure I don’t get ripped off.

My hairdresser (who is a makeup artist as well) charges $85 for the trial and $100 on the day for bridal makeup.

I have rung a few places…. The make-up artists that I have rung have quoted me $100 for a trial and $100 for the day per person. So what Im thinking of doing is getting a trial done for the Hens Nite This way I can see how it lasts for the nite and looks in the photographs

Totally agree, a trial is a must!!!
That amount sounds about right if it is just for you. Is the make up artist coming to your house? If so, they tend to charge a bit more for having to come to your place just for one person.
With certain make up artists, the more people the cheaper it becomes, so anywhere between $75-$100.
Definitely reccommend doing your research and finding the right make up artist for the right price. Make sure they are experienced.
Hope that helps!

I am looking at a place in Canberra that does hair and makeup for $180 for the bride, and $150 for the bridesmaids. They haven’t mentioned cost for a trial, but from the research I have been doing, it also seems about $75-$100. Everything adds up so quickly!

It will depend on where you are located too, different cities will have different going prices. I agree with the others, a trial is a must, not only for you but for your makeup artist. Everything goes much more smoothly when everyone is on the same page on the day!

I’m in Brisbane, my makup artist charges $100 per person and $70 trial. She is very experienced, so I imagine that’s on the higher end of the scale. I go to her for the trial, and she comes to me on the day.
Definately trial, could you imagine if it turned out completely different than you expected on your wedding day?? Trialing on the hen’s night sounds like a good idea.
