how do I get smooth silky skin?

I just had my first dress fitting today and my dress is a bit ruined by my red, blotchy bumpy skin on my arms. Does anyone know of any good products I should be using to make them look smooth and silky?

I have very pale skin and I don’t want to tan, but I do want my skin to look radiant smooth and healthy.

how about a skin scrub/body polish at your local beauty therapist? i’ve had one before and they’re divine! think i’ll spoil myself to one before the big day!

I agree with Bronzilla – a body polish is fantastic!!  Don’t forgot sunscreen – very important for protecting your skin.

It sounds like you have Keratosis Pilaris. I also have this skin condition, it is very common in young women.

Does it look like this? http://clarisonic.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/keratosis_pilaris.jpg

There is no cure & the medical treatments aren’t really effective. The best things I have found that help improve the appearance + texture on my arms are Lush’s “aqua miribilis” body scrub bar + daily application of moogoo full cream mosituriser.

(both are fantastic + relatively inexpensive products I would reccomend to anyone for smooth silky skin)

I have tried topical steriod creams, lazer treatments, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, uv treatments everything but those 2 products work better than anything else I have ever tried.

Like I said it never goes away but you can make it smoother & less agrivated.

I am trying to get mine nice & smooth for the wedding day & my makeup artist who specialises in airbrush makeup is going to cover the top of my arms for me so you wont be able to see it at all.

I have also noticed you can’t see it much through a spray tan. But like you, I really like my pale skin though & wont be getting a tan for my wedding.

I have severe eczema and for the past week I have been using Natio Wellness Body Scrub and the Natio coconut and shea body butter and wow what a difference – my body for the first time is silky smooth – my eczema has cleared up and my back is no longer spotty – give the Natio products a try – I can also recommend the face wash especially the hydrating face mask and the antioxident face moisturiser – good luck
