Hi Everyone
I thought I would start a topic post for everyone getting married or planning their wedding in Darwin.
My Partner & I are getting married in July 2010.
I know how hard it has been to plan my wedding here.
I’m still stuck on finding a dress & a few other bits & pieces but finally after a few very long and painfull months, I have finished my invites.

I’m also in the Territory but am planning a wedding in Apollo Bay, Vic. A few months ago I attended a bridal expo here in Alice Springs, put on by Elements Studio. They had a fashion parade by a bridal shop in Darwin that had the most lovely dresses. I think it the store was La Sposa. I don’t think I’m being to helpful, however, my point is that you shouldn’t give up. I did some research on the net and then went to Melbourne and bought a dress there.
I would thoroughly recommend Elements Studio for photography and make-up, while they are based in Alice Springs, they will travel to Darwin.

Hi!!
Just thought I would revive this topic as I am getting married in Dariwn and know how impossible it is to find any info about weddings up here!
I got all the bridal outfits from Lyn at Just Formals, she is amazing and extreamly helpful, especially after what felt like I had tried on the whole shop!
Have a look at Wish Dream Wedidngs magazine, they ahve heaps of lovely ideas and weddings from around the NT.
Most of the wedding suppliers now all have websites or their own Facebook page which is helpful aswell to have a look at their previous work.
The only thing I did get from interstate is flowers as it was impossible to find something I loved that was in season but wouldnt melt in our wonderful heat. I decided to go with artificial flowers and after scouring the forums, found someone who had a reputation for amazing flowers and could send interstate without it costing the earth.
If any Darwin ladies need any info let me know, always happy to help!!
Tara.

Hi All, I’m getting married September 2012 out in Humpty Doo. Anyone know of a good hair and makeup artist? I have my dress, celenrant and flowers organised. I’m trying to get it all done in the next 6 months since I work for a hire company I wont have any time to plan during the dry season. Any advice would be great since I am doing the planning on my own(which is fine by me). Cheers
