Help required from London based Bride to be!

Hi there!
Hope no-one minds me gatecrashing! I have just got engaged and am planning a (Hindu) religious blessing in Sydney (H2B and I are currently living in London). All my close family are in Sydney/NSW so the plan is to get hitched in a church at home and then fly out to have a blessing with them
The problem is… I have no idea where to start! I guess the starting point would be finding a venue to have the blessing (it needs to be somewhere that permits the lighting of the religious fire…which I suspect might cause a problem!) and then somewhere to host the reception. H2B is v keen to have photos taken (with my family) by the usual landmarks and is v keen on Govt House, so in addition to the other onerous requirements, it also needs to be relatively convenient to travel to the photo hotspots!
I don’t suppose anyone can offer any guidance/help?! I am simply at a loss – with 355 day to go (apparently!)
Eeeek!
Thanks in advance!

Welcome and congratulations
You might try any sites that have indigenous significance as they use fire in some of their rituals. Also check with the local council of any areas that you like if using a park/outdoor area as sometimes for religious purposes they can circumvent the rules. Private property should be fine as long as it doesn’t break any fire codes (you could email the fire services to find out what they mght be).
No help on an actual venue site but one of the Sydney brides might be able to help out.
