Getting married in three weeks, still haven't decided on run through OR VOWS!!

Wow. I’m starting to stress out.. I’m getting married on the 1st of September (YAY!!!) but..
We still haven’t got the run through set in stone. I just wanted to know if anyone else has done something different after their ‘entrance’, especially if you’re having/have had a cocktail reception.
I just feel like being introduced then mingling straight away is a little odd, I just don’t know how to do it so that it flows. I was thinking of doing our first dance straight up, but then what next?
As for vows, we are writing our own. I’m finding it really hard to find the right words.. It’s really hard.. Gah.. I want to say something that we will remember, but then I want to actually say how I feel.
Not sure what to do, ANY help would be appreciated :0

I think walking in and doing your first dance would be great. Are you having the food and drinks served straight after the dance? Most couple have their first dance then have a couple slow songs afterwards for the guests to join in. During those songs you could then have the food start to come out, which then takes the attention off you for a few minutes and gives you the opportunity to then start mingling. During the slow dances you could also change from dancing with your husband to with your father, father in law, brother, other close family members/friends, which then can lead into the mingling stage.
Either that or you could lead from the dancing to some family photos, then photos with friends, which then leads to mingling anyway as you go around the room getting photos.
As for the vows, I’ve been writing dotpoints for months now. I keep a note in my phone and whenenver I think of something I want to say or want to remember I write it down. Trying to write all of them at once would be difficult, so just write a note here and there and then at the end put it all together. That way you get what’s from your heart and you’re not trying to write what you think, but you write what you feel.
Good luck!

thanks for your response ladies.. We’ve finally decided on the run through, we’re actually having a cocktail reception, so food and drinks will be served throughout..
Vows, we have written together, we’re doing them together, I say a line, then he says a line.. if you get what I mean?
