Flowers with navy blue and silver theme..
Wed 31 Mar 2010 03:05AM posts 2
I’ve been unsure about what flowers to have. I have a navy blue and silver theme. I’ve asked my bridesmaids what they think and the some of the suggestions that have come back include white with yellow(b.m’s) and white with pink(me) and cream and red(b.m’s) and all cream for me. My recepetion venue has deep red curtains and feel i should incorporate the red into the theme..
What do u girls think?

Hello Mona,
Decide first on whether you want to stick with cool colours to harmonise with your navy and silver theme or whether you want a cool/warm contrast with the introduction of red.
My suggestions would be
White or ivory (or a mix) flowers – white satin ribbon for the bridal bouquet with a gorgeous crystal brooch to bring in the touch of silver. A smaller version for the bridesmaids but with a navy ribbon wrap with a banding of a thicker white satin ribbon and a band of a thin navy ribbon.
For your reception go with white/ivory – add a little bit of bling with crystals or glass beads. You could bring in the silver in a table runner or depending on the style of your arrangements with accessories such as silver candle holder or sticks.
Option 2
Instead of reds go with a tints instead – shades of hot pink, mid and pale pink – These look wonderful with navy and silver and work more with your winter theme.
For your reception use tints of pinks – Introduce sliver in your accessories or table linens. Pinks being part of the red colour chroma will blend quite nicely – add a bit of lime green to make the pinks pop if the lighting is dull.
Cheers
