Floristy Students

Hi ladies

I am thinking about donning the skills of a floristry student to make my bouquets with a combination of fresh and satin flowers and other bits and pieces.

Have any of you used a floristry student before? If so, how did it work out?

I work in a laundry and have never done any floristry stuff before this, but I decided on making all my bouquets, corsages, boutonniers and centerpeices with silk flowers after watching various video’s on youtube.  I’ve already made some of the boutonneires and it was so simple and easy to do, and because they are fake flowers I am able to make them months in advance and set them aside in boxes until they are needed.
As to asking a floristry student, be prepared for the work to be not quite what u were after but it’s a good idea ESPECIALLY if you ask if they will do it for cheaper if you allow them to use the photo’s of the finished product in their portfolio’s.
