Hi All,

I am interesting in getting eyelash extensions for our wedding day that are natural looking. I know nothing about them though. Can someone please tell me the best ones to get and the pros/cons?

Thanks

There are two different application types, strip and individual lashes..

It depends on the look that you want.. I personally like strip lashes, as they look more natural, whereas individual lashes tend to get a ‘spider legs’ look about them.

Then again, it’s up to you.. I would recommend getting different ones tested, just ask for temporary ones, so that you can see the look. Strip lashes look thicker and fuller, and you can always trim them if they’re too long.

Google on images individual and strip lashes, and see the different looks.

Hope that helps.. :)

I’ve had non-stop lash extensions for over a year now… I get them infilled every 3 weeks and absolutely love them. No one ever knows they are fake, they just think I have a good mascara and nice natural lashes.

You can’t get strip extensions, you can get false lashes in a strip that will only last you the night (can be reused). These can look really nice and are easy to apply and remove. They are very full looking.

You can get individual false lashes, which are used with the same adhesive as the strips, and again will only last the night. I’ve found these hard to put on, twiddly and i’ve never really been able to make them look nice enough to go out with.

Or there is lash extensions which are individual synthetic lashes (some people use mink but personally i think its kind of gross!) bonded with a strong glue to each of your natural lashes. I haven’t really found any negatives to mine, but they definetly need regular upkeep or they get twisted and gappy. They fall out with your natural lashes, hence needing to get them infilled. This does need to be done by a professional as the glue is REALLY strong. I’d also ask for photos of their previous work, as you don’t want them to be really thick and shiny looking, like a childs doll.

Goodluck!
