Eye Shadow

Hi guys,
I have a few make-up questions but mostly I’m concerned about eye shadow.
I usually wear a grey or silver eyeshadow and blend up from my eyeliner, but it’s not the look I want for my wedding day. I also can’t do any browns because of my freckles. So I’m kind of stumped on a colour. I don’t want anything too colourful, just a nice neutral colour. My eyes are blue/green.
Also the biggest problem I have with my eyeshadow is smudging. I want to make this absolutely clear, I have gel eyeliner that doesn’t smudge no matter what the conditions, but when I add eyeshadow I look like a racoon after only a couple of hours. Are there any good brands you can recommend? I was thinking about going with Clinique because it’s hypoallergenic and makeup always makes me itch like crazy, but they don’t have too many colours.
Lastly, I don’t want to wear foundation on my wedding day because I want to see my freckles. But I do have problems with redness on my cheeks right near my nose. I was thinking in investing in a good concealer that focusses on redness so it won’t cover up my freckles. I’m trying a green primer from Clinique at the moment but I can’t seem to completely cover the redness. Does anyone have any good recommendations.
It’s still ages away, so at the moment I’m just trying to focus on eliminating redness and the dark circles around my eyes so I’ll need less help on the day.
Any help you can give would be great. Thanks in advance gals.

Eyeshadow: Use a light base shadow like a pale pink, yellow, cream or beige. Apply the light color all over your eyelid and then to accent the eyes use a darker shade only in the outer corners and sparingly.
To help stop it from running try this: before applying the shadow, tap all excess powder from your brush. Keep in mind that some eye shadows are much more powdery than others so make smart decisions when purchasing. Want to know a great trick? Before applying your eye shadow, apply a foundation and concealer to the eye area. Then, apply your shadow followed by liner and mascara.
Hope that was some help….alternatively you could always go to Myer and ask the girls there for some tips

with eye make up there are some great products out there that actually match eye shadow colours to your eye colour. most of the leading brands are doing it now where you can buy the palette to match your eye colour and they even have instructions on how to apply!! i cant remember which brands do it but have a walk through priceline and im sure you’ll find them. even if you dont use the brand it will at least give you an idea on what colours will complenmet your eye colour.
with the redness i would suggest you use a good cleansing, toneing moisturising routine!! im sure you are already on that but it will deff help reduce te redness!! there are some great skincare products out there that reduce redness and dark circles again its a matter of giving them a try and seeing what works best. dark circles….try natural stuff…tea bags, cucumber etc. i always use a concealer under my eyes, there is a garnier dark circle remover that has caffeine to help lift darkness and puffiness and is tinted to cover it up. instead of fondation maybe just try a light powder all over just to cover up skin tone but not hide your beautiful freckles
hope that helps
goodluck
