I am thinking of a venue that only offers cocktail style reception, its right on the beach, I have chosen “Australia” as our theme, so native flowers and for my centerpieces I was having scented candles that would have been surrounded by the scents theme e.g. Bondi Beach scented candle from Dusk was going to be in a vase with sand and shells, eucalyptus scented to represent the bush and nullarbor scented to represent the outback (desert!)…This venue offers tables and chairs scattered over the venue, should I still decorate some of the tables?
secondly, I wanted my bridesmaids to wear (fake) fur boleros to represent our furry friends (kangaroos, wombats etc – I promise it looks better then it sounds) the dresses i liked are black…does this match the beach setting of our venue?
So ladies, should i go back to the drawing board with my theme or keep the theme find a more suited venue?
