Chip buffet?

Mon 13 Jun 2011 05:35AM posts 3

Hi,

I could not help but wonder in this post 10 ways to wow your wedding guests…what exactly is a chip buffet?

Do they just mean bowls of chips and dips??

Has any one seen this done tastefully? I mean just besides a couple of bowls of chips and dips on a table. I can not help but instantly think of a high school party spread when I think of a chip buffet.

it’s all about presentation – plain bowls with chips and dips can be a bit high school, but put them into something interesting (eg. long dishes with a scoop and labels on the front of all the flavours) then you can make it a bit more grown up.  of course – if you’re going for the high school look – go for it!

Sounds messy to me! I am thinking dip down the front of peoples clothes, splotches dropped all over the table linens, lots of floor mess and if you are having kids at the wedding double the mess!
