Centrepieces

What the current trends for centrepieces at the reception. I am looking for simple and elegant and I just can’t seem to find anything I like.

I’m on Gold Coast.

Any Ideas?

I think the current trend is going away from flowers. I have seen a lot of posts on forums about using fruit, lollies (in bowls), potted plants or succulents, feathers and a big one is underwater or submerged flowers. Also mixing up the flower theme by using assorted non-matching vases, tins or (mason) jars and also the use of button or paper flowers.

Also mix-matched centrepieces is a trend nowadays. Either having alternates on every other table or different centrepieces on each.

I recently went to a wedding at a fairly fancy place and besides me only my mum noticed that there wasn’t a centrepiece- it actually made viewing the events easier!

Yes I agree with j_jaye, the trend is away form flowers. Having a few flowers, or petals is ok but try candles of different heights in different holders (you can get them cheaper at a $2 shop than an event planner) and mirrors, petals, or trinkets :)
