I don’t know if I should buy and authentic Pronovias or have it made??
the authentic one is online on bridial gown .net . and is off white, I really want ivory , has anyone had theirs made? how did you do it? does your dress live up to your expectations?

I live in a remote area so there are NO bridial shops unless you want to travel 3 hours

I brought a replica off ebay because I didn’t want to pay the money for the original because I couldn’t justify spending that much money on something I would only be wearing for less than 8 hrs! I ordered earliy in case it didn’t turn out so great but I was actually overally happy with the quality of my dress but I did countless hours of research to find a reputable seller and harrassed a lot of the sellers past buyers to get photos of the end product (it helped that the seller had photos of their real made dress on their page).
It all comes down to what is important to you- a replica will never be the same as the original. I also tried the dressmaker route and it actually wasn’t that cheap when the quotes came in.

Wow Estelle beautiful dress! I was going to get my dress made overseas purely to save money because we were always going to Thailand this September regardless but now my Mum has stepped in and said that she and Dad will pay for the wedding because she wants us to use that money for other things (hint hint GIVE ME GRANDBABIES!) so now I’m in two minds about it.
I had my Deb dress made locally and it was a disaster. The dress looked beautiful on the night, but it didn’t fit properly in places because the woman was used to making dresses for children and women with at least a bit of bust, not women with almost no bust who don’t wear heels. I didn’t get my dress until the morning of my deb ball, an hour before photos!
I suppose another issue with buying outside of bridal shops is ensuring you have a reliable seamstress who WON’T wreck your dress!
