Hi ladies, just wondered if anyone has worn both but not at once? I’ve seen lately that it’s common practice to wear both at the same time then remove the veil after the ceremony. I’m thinking of wearing both but at seperate times. Has anyone else done this? and while i’m on topic, succesffully taken out their veil without making a mess of their hairstyle??? My hair will be in a low bun type thing so i’m picturing the veil at the crown of my head and then a big mess of my hair once it’s taken out lol.
Any tips would be great?! xxx

Whatever you do, I would ask if your maid of honour could be with you at the hairdressers so she can get some coaching on how to get the veil out. I think typically they would be on a comb, and I am getting the same messy vision that you are!

I only had a birdcage veil but I took it out and didn’t get the messy hair look! I think it depends on what you use to clip it in!
Mine was clipped in well (as I have impossible fine hair) but with really good slides/clips provided by the hair and make up artist. I also had clip in hair pieces and was worried that they would all come out and be a big mess when I took the viel out but the H&MUA showed me how to take them out whilst she was putting them in. I think DankiStar was right ont he money about talking to the hariddresser to ensure easy removal.

Have you decided? I am going to do both, but that is because I am heading to Samantha Wills and Wedding List Co event that shows SW bridal collection and there is NO WAY I will let go of my veil, nor sacrifice having plain hair! Check this out http://www.weddinglistco.com.au/events
