Entertainment: The Baker Boys Band
Here’s a group with some serious credentials. The Baker Boys, a fluid assortment of musicians, feature some of the biggest names in the Australian music biz. Wally DeBacker, Gotye frontman and Aria award winner for Best Male Artist, “Somebody That I Used To Know,” has recently joined the crew. Imagine having him turn up at your wedding!
The band also includes Ollie McGill, former keyboardist for The Cat Empire, Andy Silvio, who’s just returned from tour playing in the Pete Murray band and Michael McClintock, who is currently working in LA on the next Crowded House album.
The band has also supported the likes of Jimmy Barnes and will soon back up Johhny Diesel.
You can see the boys live over the next month during their showcases, which are happening in every capital city (except for Brisbane). So go and see them in action! You can find out all the details on their website. They’re available for private functions in all cities and some more rural areas (though there may be an extra travel fee incurred). You can have any arrangement you desire, up to a 12 man band.
