Tartan of course plays a part in this stylish preppy wedding.

The Bride Nichole Morford, 30
The Groom Andrew Altorfer, 33
The Date September 19
Nichole and Andrew knew they wanted a European destination wedding. During a spontaneous trip to Ireland soon after their engagement, Nichole says they fell in love with the warmth of the people and their rich storytelling tradition.
For their nuptials, the couple used a neutral palette of ivory and fawn, with touches of tartan and herringbone, to accent the rich green countryside.Nearly all of the 75 guests were able to stay on-site at the 18th-century country house, not far from Dublin.
Nichole chose an organza mermaid-style gown and borrowed the veil her twin sister had worn in her wedding just four months earlier.

An illustrated map noted nearby landmarks.

The bridesmaids accessorized their J. Crew dresses and cardigans with their own jewelry and heels, but changed into traditional Hunter boots for outdoor bridal party photos.

Irish greens popped against the guys’ navy suits.

White David Austin roses, spray roses and ranunculus gave Nichole’s bouquet a fresh-from-the-garden feel.

Modest centerpieces perfectly complemented the cellar-like ambience of Bellinter House’s restaurant.
