Big Reception Trend: Photobooths

In the past couples left disposable cameras on guest tables in order to capture those spontaneous, and often hilarious, moments. But these days photobooths are far more popular for their versatility and entertainment value. Plus, there’s something slightly nostalgic about cramming into a photobooth with friends, don’t you think?

Flashback Photobooths are similar to the old school models you may remember from your past but without the graffiti or the grubbiness. These ones are slick and shiny and will become a key feature of your reception room. The booths dispense a classic black and white film strip of  four frames, which you can stick straight into your guest book or share among guests.  We think its is a fabulous idea for vintage-y weddings. Flashback Photobooths are available for hire in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Northern NSW.

And why not have some serious fun with it by stocking up on props? Itty Bitty at Esty.com has a great range of glasses, hats and moustaches, and there’s many more similar stores on the site.

For something different again, try Polite in Public. You can choose a colourful background design and play around with the props that come with it. The photos are 6×4 inch glossy colour prints which are airbrushed on the spot so everyone looks picture perfect! You really won’t believe how smooth your complexion and defined your features look. And guess how many prints you can have? As many as you want! Files can be shared via Twitter and Facebook, so that everyone you know, and your friends know, can marvel at the novelty of it all.  Polite in Public booths are available for hire in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and more.
