Shades of teal and brown mixed with birds, twigs, moss and peacock feathers are the perfect complement for a rustic wedding. This is what inspired Lindsay and Ryan’s wedding day…
They went with a romantic rustic theme, highlighted by playful nature motifs.
The bride” Lindsay Hamilton, 29, owner/designer at Bird Cage Designs and a recruiter
The groom: Ryan Russ, 30, a custom freight quote specialist
The date: 16 October
Think: birds, nests, twigs, moss and hedgeapples. A peacock feather was the inspiration for their teal-blue wedding details, which they accented with chocolate brown and apple green.

White ranunculus, scabiosa and garden roses were tied together into loose natural arrangements, with a few small feathers mixed in.
The brown and teal oak tree and bird programs were a DIY project: hole-punched and tied with twine.
Tables, topped with patterned tablecloths and rustic hedgeapple-filled centrepiece vases, were set up inside for the reception.
Do you like this colour scheme? What’s your wedding style/theme?
