Wet Weather Wedding Tips
If you’ve been planning for a sunny summer wedding and the forecast is predicting grey clouds, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
1. Pick Up Some Props
Source some cute, coloured umbrellas or some fun gumboots for your bridesmaids and say hello to Mother Nature with a smile! To keep you and your gown dry, grab a golf umbrella. It’s big enough to keep even a ball gown undercover and makes for great cuddling couple shots taking shelter from the weather.
2. Wet Weather Invites
If you’re having an outdoor ceremony or reception, plan for an alternative location undercover and give this info to your guests. You can write it into your main wedding invitation or include a separate card with the wet weather options.
3. Wet Weather Hair
Humidity and hair styles are not a good mix so if you want to minimise frizz make sure a de-frizzing serum is combed through damp hair, and again once it’s dry. Make sure your hair is in good condition by using weekly masks or oil treatments as damaged hair is more prone to frizz. And consider getting an up-style, they will last longer than loose locks.
4. Real Brides in the Rain

If you do get caught in the rain, just remember rain on your wedding day is considered good luck according to Hindu tradition!
