Rock Princess Jagger ‘Borrows’ Wedding Plan from Kate Moss

Embracing the much loved saying that ‘imitation is the highest form of flattery’, rock royalty Jade Jagger has recently wed in an uncannily similar way to that of one of her closest buddies, model Kate Moss. But who could really blame her – Moss’ wedding had to be one of the most stylish and rockin’ celebrations of 2011.

On Saturday June 30th, almost a year to the day after wild child supermodel Moss married musician Jamie Hince in 2011, her best friend Jade Jagger, designer and daughter of Rolling Stone’s leading man Sir Mick Jagger, walked down the aisle with her own performer, DJ fiancé Adrian Fillary. And it appears to those on the outside as though Moss had kindly loaned Jade her wedding plan, or at least filled her with imitation worthy ideas.

So exactly what was duplicated? Jagger’s wedding was also held in the Cotswolds in the UK, a very picturesque region known for luscious green rolling hills, quaint stone villages and a handy splattering of castles. The 2012 bride also enlisted Moss’s daughter Lila Grace to be a flower girl – a role she had just taken on for her mother Kate’s nuptials. Though Jagger’s two daughters – 19-year-old Assisi and 17-year-old Amba, took on the role of bridesmaids for their mum.

Boho style was also embraced by the bride, with a simple dress and flowers tucked into her hair, and a sleek, no-fuss gown, that Jagger designed herself.

We are now waiting to see exactly where they went for their honeymoon and if Vogue magazine splashes it on the cover as they did for Moss. But with a guest-list so A-list the Jagger event has certainly already attracted plenty of attention from international media.

What Jagger had that Moss could never beat was the attendance of dad, Mick Jagger, dressed in a flamboyant purple striped suit, not too different to what he wore when he wed Bianca in 1971. He is said to have taken to the stage for a special performance for the newly-weds at the reception. I can’t imagine the bride was cringing as would most if their dad’s took to the stage.

Additionally Jade’s mother, Bianca Jagger, who was certainly never a wall-flower, turned up wearing what many have described as a severe black suit which was more appropriate for a funeral, and which she later whipped off to reveal a tuxedo pant suit. I think their family portrait deserves a song!
