Brad Pitt Proposes!

Seven years and six kids later Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are officially engaged.

Brad, 48, has been planning their special moment for at least a year with Beverly Hills jeweller Robert Procop. “The full creative journey – from conception to completion – took a year, said Robert, “he waited until the perfect moment to unveil this special jewel to Angelina.”

Brad’s representative told CNN that Brad was heavily involved in the design process, “Robert was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suit Angelina’s hand, the side diamonds are specially cut to encircle her finger.”

Confirming the engagement, Brad’s representative said, “It is a promise for the future, and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time.”

The couple had previous said they wouldn’t marry until  gay marriage was legalised in the United States, but Brad told The Hollywood Reporter, “It (marriage) seems to mean more and more to our kids. We made this declaration some time ago that we weren’t going to do it until everyone can. But I don’t think we’ll be able to hold out.”

Reports are emerging that the couple could marry on their estate in the South of France, but for now, we’ll all have to wait and see where they will marry, what Ange will wear and who will attend the wedding.  

Brad met Angelina, 36, on the set of the movie Mr & Mrs Smith while he was married to actress Jennifer Aniston.

Angelina was previously married to actors Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller.
