Blooming Marvelous

With our wedding date so far out (or so we thought) we decided after booking a few our most important vendors we would take a break from planning. It has now been almost eight months we have been engaged and we (mostly I) have thrown ourselves back into planning.

I decided it might be time to meet with a florist. I was unsure of who I would meet with as I had been recommended many amazing people. I was knee deep in research when I came across someone with not only a wealth of experience but also an aesthetic that spoke to me in a way I was yet to encounter. His portfolio of work was so beautiful and in each photograph I was more convinced that he was “the one” that would successfully carry out my floral vision. As silly as that sounds, in my head I have always imagined the room to look a certain way, with an abundance of flowers, candles and an overall feeling of warmth. I also knew I wanted to be surrounded by a team of likeminded people. I am an excitable, detail orientated and specific kind of girl and I knew that I wanted to have similar people by my side.

I took my mum to meet with this incredible man and was so excited about the collaboration the minute we entered his store. Overflowing with gorgeous foliage and brightly colored blooms, we were in floral heaven. We discussed my ideas for our big day and I brought out the inspiration pictures, he was just as excited as I was to help create our perfect day.

Walking out of our meeting, I knew he was exactly what I was looking for. His enthusiasm was infectious and I felt like the whole process would be made easier by working with someone so passionate and so similar to myself.
